Mining Tenement Constraints Analysis

We prepared a high level assessment of environment and heritage constraints to iron ore exploration and operations in the Pilbara and mid-west regions of Western Australia for Vale Exploration.

The desktop assessment identified potential environmental constraints and risks to the development of the land and exploration or other associated activities. The information assisted an initial assessment of the financial and technical viability of resource development in the region.

A constraints map was produced to provide an overview of areas where there may be constraints to exploration or mining activities.

These include: Aboriginal Heritage Enquiry System – Aboriginal heritage places Water courses

DIWA wetlands Lakes Railway Ramsar wetlands Register of National Estate – Conservation and heritage places

Roads Springs Watercourse areas
