Feedlot Site Selection in NSW

We were engaged by Idemitsu to assist with the site selection of a 10,000 head feedlot on existing land intended for mining in New South Wales.

The investigated areas covered two geologically and geographically separate regions located at Muswellbrook and Boggabri. Our team developed and implemented a systematic procedure for optimal site selection, including a checklist of important considerations, such as topography, hydrology, access, and planning constraints. The study identified no suitable sites at Muswellbrook and Muswellbrook West, due to proximity to neighbouring towns and receptors.

Four potential sites were identified at Boggabri and it appears likely that a 10,000 head feedlot can be constructed within these areas.
