Battery Energy Storage System, Yanco

The Yanco BESS aims to support renewable energy integration by storing excess electricity and releasing it during peak demand, contributing to grid stability and decarbonisation goals.

We prepared the scoping report, environmental impact statement, Aboriginal cultural heritage assessment, land use conflict risk assessment and submissions report for the project, as well as providing overarching project management support. Registered environmental assessment practitioner review and sign off was provided by our Principal Planner, David Walker.

The Yanco BESS was approved by the NSW Independent Planning Commission on the 2 October 2025.
